When: Thursday, 7:00 – 9:00 pm
Where: Common Street Spiritual Center, 13 Common Street, Natick, MA
Who: Anyone who enjoys playing Native American Style Flutes and anyone who likes listening to flute music.
What: This is an informal gathering where we will take turns playing music. The intent is to get to know each other, share our music, and support each other as we continue to develop as flute players.
I’ll have a small sound system (for those who might like to play using effects), a sampling of hand percussion instruments, and my flutes to play.
Facilitator Bio: John has been playing Native American Style Flutes for almost 20 years. He has taught flute courses, facilitated flute circles, and hosted large flute gatherings. He lived in the Pacific Northwest for 35 years and has been here in New England for the last 2 years, and has been teaching and performing locally. Introduction to the Native American Style Flute and facilitating a flute circle at the Common Street Spiritual Center.
“Whether you’re new to the flute, an experienced player, or somewhere in between, you’ll find a welcome space in the circle. And we welcome those who might want to sit and listen, to enjoy the music. I look forward to meeting you.” John
This is a free, “drop-in,” event. You do not need to register.
