With six separate gathering spaces and a big kitchen, Common Street Spiritual Center is a valuable community resource that we are eager to share with others in a warm and collaborative way.

Building use requests to host public and/or private events are considered on a case-by-case basis. This includes:

  • Public events, workshops, gatherings, concerts, dances, ceremonies and other programs whether fee-based, by donation, or offered freely to the general public
  • Classes, rehearsals, or private sessions
  • Personal events such as weddings, birthday parties, coming-of-age ceremonies, memorial services and celebrations of life

All uses of our building must be in alignment with our mission and vision. Beyond that, the policies below serve as guidelines for our decision-making.

For Members

Members have priority access to our building, since they donate and volunteer to support our mission to transform consciousness, build community, nurture new forms of spirituality, and ignite purpose.

When members offer free programs and events that are open to the community, we allow them to book any of our spaces free of charge. This is part of how we enable members to share their gifts and build community.

When members offer programs and events that have a fee or suggested donation, we ask them to donate 25% of the proceeds to the spiritual center. It’s collaborative.

For all events, hosts/leaders are expected to do their own set up and clean up.

Rentals for personal/private events are available to members at the low rates listed below.

For the General Public

We often collaborate with facilitators, performers, groups and community organizations to welcome public-facing events into our space that are spiritual, cultural, charitable, educational, justice-oriented, or community-building. We are often open to cosponsoring such events.

Groups and individuals may rent the space for one-time events at the rates listed below or also set up long-term, recurring rental agreements (e.g. weekly, monthly), which are negotiated on a case-by-case basis.
