At a time when thousands of people in Gaza are facing malnutrition and starvation, we are inviting people to set aside a day to fast in solidarity.

On Monday, August 4th, please consider fasting during the day and praying for the speedy delivery of food, medicine, and other necessities for the people in Gaza.

At 6pm, we’ll gather in the sanctuary of the Spiritual Center to reflect on our experiences of fasting and pray together for all who are suffering from hunger in Gaza and around the world.***

As a way to support those experiencing hunger, given that delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza is currently blocked, you are invited to donate to a local food bank such as the Natick Service Council or to bring nonperishable food and hygiene products for our Common Good Mini Pantry at the Spiritual Center.

***We are also mindful, for example, that millions of people in Sudan, South Sudan, and Haiti are also facing emergency levels of food insecurity due to destabilizing conflicts and displacement.
