Introduction to Shamanic Journeying

“Shamanic journeying is the inner art of traveling to the invisible worlds beyond ordinary reality in order to retrieve information for change in any area of our lives, from spirituality and health to work and relationships” (Sandra Ingerman, 2007).

Spirit allies and power animals are an elemental component of shamanism and all shamans work with these helping spirits to help bring about spiritual, physical and emotional healing at the soul or spirit level. All of us have access to these spirits and they want to work with us!

In this workshop, we will learn:
* Energetic cleansing, setting sacred space and spiritual protection for shamanic practice
* How to use and interpret your intuitive senses to understand communications and receive information from the spirit realms
* The practice of entering a trance state to travel to the shamanic worlds through a meditative journeying state and meet a spirit ally or power animal
* The various ways to work with spirit allies in daily life and to assist in understanding specific intentions or gifts they have to offer.

It is recommended you bring any items that will help you descend into this state of consciousness. Such materials can include an eye covering, pillow, blanket, mat, and wearing comfortable clothing.
A limited amount of cushions, yoga mats, and blankets will be available for use.

In your shamanic journey space, you may gain information from the lower world spirits or power animals. Bringing a journal can be valuable to record the messages received for further integration and referencing.

No prior shamanic or journeying experience necessary. All levels of shamanic practice are welcome!

Plan to arrive upstairs in the Studio at Common Street Spiritual Center in Natick, Wednesday, November 20th approximately 15 minutes early (6:15pm) for check in and set up, then 6:30pm start time
