Embodiment and Movement Day

In America today, we’re more disconnected and disembodied than ever. We spend our days in front of screens, rarely moving, quietly overwhelmed, and holding onto stress and emotion we don’t always realize we’re carrying. So many of us have grown to fear physical connection, a fundamental human need. In the wake of the pandemic and an epidemic of loneliness, we’ve become more sharply aware that we are starved for presence, community, and physical connection. Fortunately, it doesn’t have to be that way. We can come back to ourselves, to our hearts, to community, and the parts of us that we have been disconnected from through safe, non-sexual touch, movement, somatics, and shared presence.
Join us for an Embodiment & Movement Day, a full-day community event designed to create a safe place to explore, learn, and connect through different embodiment and movement modalities and consent work. There will also be opportunities to meet different bodywork and energy work practitioners in the community. This is a space to soften what’s been hardened, to move what’s been stuck, and to remember what it feels like to belong: in your body, and in community. The day culminates in a live DJ jam session, where we welcome the different types of embodiment and movement explored in workshops to be combined in a safe, full-community container.
* Participants must attend at least 1 workshop to participate in the jam. No one turned away for lack of funds. Contact us if cost is a barrier. $15-$20/workshop $40-$60 for full day/unlimited workshops $10-$20 for open jam
