Authentic Relating Games: Joy & Play!

Want a night that’s genuinely fun, surprisingly connecting, and nothing like awkward small talk? Join us for an evening of playful Authentic Relating Games—designed to spark laughter, curiosity, and real human connection without getting heavy or intense. In this “Joy & Play”–themed game night, we’ll explore presence with lightness and rediscover how easy connection becomes when play comes first.
What is Authentic Relating?
Authentic Relating is a playful practice of connecting more honestly and curiously with yourself and others—without scripts, pressure, or performative depth. Through simple games, we create space to:
- Be Present: Drop into what’s happening right now—with ease and humor.
- Be Curious: Listen, respond, and explore connection in real time.
- Be Real (Lightly): Show up as yourself, without needing to be polished, deep, or “on.”
What to Expect
We use guided, low-stakes games and exercises that gently bypass surface-level conversation and invite genuine connection—while keeping things fun, relaxed, and accessible. No experience required.
- Playful & Engaging: Expect laughter, surprises, and moments of “oh wow, that was easier than I thought.”
- Clear & Supportive Container: Simple agreements help everyone feel comfortable and respected.
- Leave Feeling: More energized, connected, and deeply understood.
Let’s throw out the rule book from society and start connecting in an authentic way with ourselves and others. Come as you are. Bring your curiosity. Let play do the work.
About the Facilitators:
Nathan Kessel weaves his experience in mindfulness meditation, Nonviolent Communication, Circling, embodiment, Buddhism, and the work of Joanna Macy to co-create experiences that help people connect deeply with themselves and others. He deeply believes in the power of genuine connection, understanding, and empathy to help heal and transform our world for the better.
Tiffany Hawco creates spaces people return to—grounded, alive, and deeply human. A facilitator, somatic breathwork practitioner, hula hoop teacher, and environmentalist, she integrates breath, movement, and intuitive facilitation into experiences that invite reflection and connection. Guided by curiosity and compassion, Tiffany’s vibrant, nurturing presence encourages participants to trust their own voices while cultivating meaningful connection with one another and the Earth.
