SUMMARY:The Bodhisattva Check-In (or Accepting the Challenges and Gifts of This Lifetime).
DESCRIPTION:offering a program through the Interhelp Network that I think you might like. It’s a practice from the Work That Reconnects that is designed to support people in exploring their life mission and gifts. I think this exercise is great for offering a new perspective on what we are uniquely able to contribute to the world. \nThe Bodhisattva Check-In (or Accepting the Challenges and Gifts of This Lifetime).\nSunday\, April 28th\n4:00 – 5:30 PM ET\nOnline\nOffered free of charge \nThe practice is named for the hero figure of Buddhist tradition\, the bodhisattva\, who does not seek enlightenment in order to exit from this world\, escaping the cycle of rebirth\, but turns back from the gates of nirvana\, vowing to return to be of help to all beings. In this practice\, we will imagine ourselves as bodhisattvas waiting for rebirth\, and reflect on the conditions that shape our life\, such as when and where we were born\, what people are around us\, and what identities we hold. We will fully\, physically\, step into each condition\, as if we were choosing each one for a special purpose. The conversation in pairs that will follow this exploration are the Bodhisattva Check-In.
