But the Nomads also know the ways of sublime sound that can be flowing\, soothing and delicate. \nDoors open at 6:30pm and the opening ceremony starts at 7:00pm. Led by Diana Phillips \nWhat is a Group Healing Circle? \nGroup healings are a powerful opportunity for women to clear and release issues shared collectively. The nature of the collective group energy field amplifies the healing that is imparted. Each group healing is different\, since Spirit determines what we will address. Sometimes\, we work deeply to release a concern like fear held in the body. At other times\, Spirit upgrades our energy system\, giving us tools to help others. The healings are transformative and support our awakening. Usually\, group healings last 45-60 minutes. Participants are welcome to ask for support with a specific matter beforehand. During the group healing\, we meditate and Diana brings through what Spirit offers us. After the healing\, we meditate in the stillness. DESCRIPTION:The Natick Open Mic welcomes performers of all kinds\, although we ask that groups are limited to 4 people. Performances can be songs\, poetry readings\, story telling\, dancing\, pretty much any kind of live entertainment that you can create in the moment.  \n\nEach act gets 8 minutes of stage time\, including setup\, introduction and tear down\, so be sure to be efficient with your use of time. We will supply a full PA and lighting system to make you look and sound great. \n\nYou can get your name on the roster ahead of the event\, but if there is still room on the roster on the day of the show\, you can still snag a slot. Our human capacity for love\, enjoyment\, and wisdom is endless; and the love a person can feel for other human beings\, for nature\, and for life itself\, is beautiful. Experiencing all this is less likely to happen\, however\, if we have not healed emotional wounds; if we have not learned that “the mind is a great servant but a terrible master”; and if we don’t know how to love ourselves\, including our bodies. \nToday’s gathering is about being more whole. \nIn part one\, we will talk about what healing is: what do we mean by that word? Then those who are moved to will have the time and space to share about what healing they have experienced\, and by what methods\, circumstances\, and / or experiences. \nIn part two\, we will generate a list of what seems to be necessary for healing. We will do that as a collective mind by noticing our own experiences\, from our in-the-moment thinking\, and from what we’ve learned from videos\, from books\, from peers\, and / or from professionals who have been helpful. \nPlease come if you wish to explore this subject! \nSuch gatherings can accelerate our individual learning and growing\, as well as provide “people medicine” for everyone present. \n  \nPersonal note: \nI am grateful for the healing I have experienced. In my case\, growing up\, my head energy was loved and supported. My thoughts were welcome. In contrast\, my heart energy was not supported\, and emotions of any were not welcomed and certainly were not mirrored. No one in my family or at school taught me any emotional awareness. \nMy life is enormously different now that much childhood wounding is healed. An important shift for me was when I could see my parents as glasses half full\, instead of half empty. Through certain healing contexts and experiences\, I came to see them as being perfect (if you’ll excuse that overworked word) exactly as they were! \nI stopped judging them. That led to stopping judging myself\, and that led to not judging anybody. I live a lighter and happier life now. \n(By the way\, not judging anybody does not mean “making no distinctions” or “not seeing differences”!) \n

We will then transition into dancing to delicious exotic jams\, with both DJ set/performance and live (often improv) accompaniment on a variety of instruments. This will be the ecstatic dance portion of the event.\n-Then\, cool down and ground with a sound bath featuring singing bowls\, shamanic drumming\, and more to close out the event.\n-Stick around\, have snacks\, and socialize for a bit after the sound bath if you wish! \nThere is a suggested donation of $25-35 for this event\, but if funds are a barrier to entry for you\, don’t let that stop you from enjoying this releasing\, healing\, and uplifting community event… just donate whatever you can. Every contribution will help us to keep putting on these events\, as we would like for this event to keep happening on a regular basis! \nBring anything you might want… hoops/poi/etc. for flow arts\, a yoga mat/blanket/pillow for the sound bath\, water for hydration.
