SUMMARY:Embodiment and Movement Day
DESCRIPTION:In America today\, we’re more disconnected and disembodied than ever. We spend our days in front of screens\, rarely moving\, quietly overwhelmed\, and holding onto stress and emotion we don’t always realize we’re carrying. So many of us have grown to fear physical connection\, a fundamental human need. In the wake of the pandemic and an epidemic of loneliness\, we’ve become more sharply aware that we are starved for presence\, community\, and physical connection. Fortunately\, it doesn’t have to be that way. We can come back to ourselves\, to our hearts\, to community\, and the parts of us that we have been disconnected from through safe\, non-sexual touch\, movement\, somatics\, and shared presence. \nJoin us for an Embodiment & Movement Day\, a full-day community event designed to create a safe place to explore\, learn\, and connect through different embodiment and movement modalities and consent work. There will also be opportunities to meet different bodywork and energy work practitioners in the community. This is a space to soften what’s been hardened\, to move what’s been stuck\, and to remember what it feels like to belong: in your body\, and in community. The day culminates in a live DJ jam session\, where we welcome the different types of embodiment and movement explored in workshops to be combined in a safe\, full-community container. \n* Participants must attend at least 1 workshop to participate in the jam. No one turned away for lack of funds. Contact us if cost is a barrier. $15-$20/workshop $40-$60 for full day/unlimited workshops $10-$20 for open jam \n~~~ \n**Workshop Schedule** \n9:30am: Opening Mindful Movement with Grant Rizvi • 20 minutes \n10:00am: Compassionate Touch for Deep Connection with Tim Lewandowski and Becca Phillips • 90 minutes \n10:00am: Vibrating into Vibrant Aliveness: Tension Release Exercises (TRE) with Matt Krolick • 90 minutes \n11:45am: Reiki Dance: Energy Healing Through Movement with Daniel Montoya and Dani Bentz • 90 minutes \n11:45am: Thai Partner Massage with Lee Ann Song • 90 minutes \n1:15pm: Potluck Lunch and Community Consent and Harm Reduction Talk with Adam Greenberg • 60 minutes \n2:15pm: Sonic Shake-Up with Wren Medina • 20 minutes \n2:45pm: Embodied Vocal Expression with Selah • 90 minutes \n2:45pm: Contact Beyond Contact with Nathaniel Mahieu • 90 minutes \n4:30pm: Mirror & Merge: A Contact Improv Workshop with Gabrielle Fiedor • 90 minutes \n4:30pm: Soul Dance with Shün • 90 minutes \n6:00pm: Dinner Break 60 minutes \n7:00pm: Open Jam live DJ set by Smalankas • 2 hours \n___________ \nIf you have any questions\, contact Becca Phillips: \nPhone: 781-690-0525 \nEmail : rebeccajemmaphillips@gmail.com

There will be gentle invitations for writing\, sound & movement\, a co-created altar of natural objects\, and shared music to hold what words can’t. Personal and collective losses are welcome here. \n  \nCost: $10-$20\, no one turned away for lack of funds \nDoors open: 7:15pm \nCeremony starts: 7:30pm \nWe invite you to bring with you photos of loved ones or anything that moves you. \n  \nFacilitators: Gabbi Fiedor & Becca Phillips \nSound Bath Artist: Abby Frechette

SUMMARY:Kaula Tantra Yoga
DESCRIPTION:What is Kaula Tantra Yoga? \nKaula Tantra Yoga is a deeply meditative yoga practice combining standing poses and floor-based postures that increase strength\, flexibility and overall health. The focus is on relaxing the body into the postures\, allowing the body to soften and enjoy the longer holds of the poses (asanas). The Kaula Tantra Yoga series helps balance and activate every area of one’s life through equilibrating one’s intrinsic energy (Prana). \nIt is a slow-paced sequence of postures divided into 3 main series. The postures work with the lower three chakras: the root\, the sacral\, and the solar plexus. By relaxing these parts of our body\, we may release traumas stored in the body related to childhood\, family lineages\, stressful experiences\, and previous bodily injuries. Beginner yogis will be able to exercise all of the postures in Kaula Tantra Yoga\, but this practice will also challenge advanced yogis as the real practice occurs within you. \nStudents flow between long meditative states cultivated in shavasana to different gentle asanas throughout the practice\, always coming back to deep relaxation through careful cueing of the breath\, body\, and mind. A deeply nurturing and compassionate practice\, students are guided to their own field of trust in their ability to know each day what their body needs from the practice– that there is no “perfect” asana. Even the teachers of Kaula Tantra Yoga don’t do the asanas ‘perfectly’ because perfection is a judgment; in this form of yoga\, imperfection is accepted as being beautiful and thus Tantra sees all life’s experiences as being perfect. \nThus\, Kaula Tantra Yoga gives the student the conscious freedom to push their body\, connect with themselves on a deeper level\, observing without judgment and being fully present\, in the moment. \nSuggested Donation*\n$20-25 by Cash or Venmo\nVenmo: @Rebecca-Jemma-Phillips \n*This is an inclusive\, community practice\, so if donating is a barrier\, we welcome you to come for free. \nSign up here: https://forms.gle/KFvtCo5A77fxizGL9 \n***Please note:*** \nThe practice does NOT involve nudity or sexual contact and no partner is required. It is suitable for all ages and for those new to yoga as well as experienced. \nIf you have any questions\, don’t hesitate to contact Becca @ 781-690-0525 \nPlease bring a yoga mat and a scarf for stretching if you have them. \nWe can’t wait to practice with you!
