SUMMARY:Kevin Baldwin’s Natick Public School Saxophone Studio Recital
DESCRIPTION:A concert by the Kennedy and Wilson private saxophone students in Kevin Baldwin’s saxophone studio. Students from both middle schools will be performing as soloists or in small groups\, many for the first time. The music will range from movie theme songs\, like Pirates of the Caribbean and Pink Panther\, to works from the classical tradition by J.S. Bach\, Ludwig von Beethoven\, and others. The hard-working students are thrilled to share their passion for their instrument and show how hard they have worked over the year.

SUMMARY:Digestion: Ayurvedic and Yogic Approach
DESCRIPTION:Ayurveda and Yoga\, both stemming from ancient Vedic Philosophy\, are interconnected sister sciences.\nDuring the session\, we will delve into Ayurvedic perspectives on identifying imbalances and provide practical approaches to address them\, including dietary adjustments\, lifestyle modifications\, and herbs. Led by certified Ayurvedic Doctor Nina Fine\, this segment of the workshop will offer expert guidance.\nExpect an engaging mix of interactive learning and active participation\, during which you will explore and practice techniques such as Pranayama (breathing techniques)\, asanaYoga (yoga postures targeted at various parts of the body)\, and Meditation\, all blended to improve the mind-body-spirit balance. Certified yoga teacher Olena will guide this portion of the workshop.\nNina and Olena will elucidate the connection between chakras (energetic centers in the body) and bodily systems/organs\, offering guidance on recognizing imbalances in the flow of prana (the life force energy) through the chakras and strategies to restore balance.\nIn essence\, the workshop will encompass learning (lecture)\, movement\, breathwork\, and meditation.

SUMMARY:Groove Lab - Dancing Through the Chaos
DESCRIPTION:These times call for dance. Dancing through the chaos. \nThere has been a call in our community to come together and dance. This is for us\, all together\, to create what we want. To gather in community as we envision. \nSend in your song requests to add to our playlist. Plus we will have some live drumming too! Kat will share just a few prompts to help us all to drop in and dance it out. And before we leave\, there will be time to rest–on the ground if you’d like–while gentle percussion sounds fill the air. Maybe\, just maybe\, you will feel this all land in your body like a nourishment. \nOnly together can we create the kind of gatherings that bring strength\, healing and connection to our communities. Let’s do this! \nRegister through Maggie at learn2relax@yahoo.com or Kat at kathleensuwalski@gmail.com so that we know you are attending and know how many people to expect (or so that we can let you know if anything changes).\nInvestment: $25 if pre-registered and $35 at the door. If cost is prohibitive\, please reach out. \nBring your friends\, neighbors and family too. Spread the word!
