DESCRIPTION:Want to get your dance on with the setting summer sun in the background? ‘Divine Design – Ecstatic Dance & Sound Bath’ will be held on Friday\, May 9th at the Common Street Spiritual Center in Natick\, MA! \nHere are the details… \n-Doors open at 6:30 for stretching\, snacking\, and socializing while music in the background sets the mood.\n-There will be an intention-setting meditation a little after 7:00pm.\n-We will then transition into dancing to delicious exotic jams\, with both DJ set/performance and live (often improv) accompaniment on a variety of instruments. This will be the ecstatic dance portion of the event.\n-Then\, cool down and ground with a soothing sound/song bath meditation.\n-Stick around\, have snacks\, and socialize for a bit after the sound bath if you wish! \nThere is a suggested donation of $25-35 for this event\, but if funds are a barrier to entry for you\, don’t let that stop you from enjoying this releasing\, healing\, and uplifting community event… just donate whatever you can. This will be the ecstatic dance portion of the event.\n-Then\, cool down and ground with a sound bath featuring singing bowls\, shamanic drumming\, and more to close out the event.\n-Stick around\, have snacks\, and socialize for a bit after the sound bath if you wish! \nThere is a suggested donation of $25-35 for this event\, but if funds are a barrier to entry for you\, don’t let that stop you from enjoying this releasing\, healing\, and uplifting community event… just donate whatever you can. DESCRIPTION:The Electric Nomads return to the Common Street Spiritual Center for another ecstatic dance + sound bath gathering. \nJoin us for an evening of freeform movement and dance to the live grooves of the Electric Nomads as they take you on an musical journey that begins slowly and gradually builds up and up until everyone is soaring\, then gently returning you to Mother Earth to rest on the waves of a lush sound bath meditation. \nThe Electric Nomads are musical alchemists\, fusing acoustic and electronic elements to form a funky melange of world instruments and chanted vocalizations woven around a core of monster bass grooves and driving beats. But the Nomads also know the ways of sublime sound that can be flowing\, soothing and delicate. \nDoors open at 6:30pm and the opening ceremony starts at 7:00pm. Please arrive before 7:00 so you can settle in before things get rolling. This will be an evening of composed and improvised music in a variety of styles. Sit and listen\, lie down and meditate\, get up and dance… there will be space to accommodate all of those options! This event is part concert\, part sound journey\, part flow arts dance space! We want to take you on a musical\, spiritual\, and emotional journey! \nSince this will fall on the week that includes Halloween\, costumes are encouraged!
