SUMMARY:52:db - Moving Musical Meditations (Halloween Edition)!
DESCRIPTION:Join 52:db (Jason A. Karol and Trevor McCabe… sometimes with various musical and flow arts guest collaborators)! This will be an evening of composed and improvised music in a variety of styles. Sit and listen\, lie down and meditate\, get up and dance… there will be space to accommodate all of those options! This event is part concert\, part sound journey\, part flow arts dance space! We want to take you on a musical\, spiritual\, and emotional journey! \nSince this will fall on the week that includes Halloween\, costumes are encouraged! The performers will be rockin’ some cool threads for sure! ? \n-Doors open at 6:30\n-Music from 7:30-9:30 (with 10 minute intermission at 8:30)\n-Socialize and snack after from 9:30-10:00 \nIf you would like to support the team bringing this event to life\, the Common Street Spiritual Center\, and future 52:db events\, you can give a donation of your choosing (suggested donation $25-35) at the venue the day of show. I don’t want cost to be a barrier to folks. SUMMARY:Ecstatic Dance Event - Featuring Electric Nomads
DESCRIPTION:The Electric Nomads return to the Common Street Spiritual Center for another ecstatic dance gathering. \nCome join us for an evening of freeform movement and dance to the live grooves of the Electric Nomads as they take you on an musical journey that begins slowly and gradually builds up and up until everyone is soaring\, and then gently returning you to Mother Earth to rest on the waves of a lush sound bath meditation. \nThe Electric Nomads are musical alchemists\, fusing acoustic and electronic elements to form a funky melange of world instruments and chanted vocalizations woven around a core of monster bass grooves and percussive beats. But E.N. also knows the way of sublime sounds that are flowing\, soothing and delicate. \nPlease arrive no later than 7pm so you can settle in before the opening ceremony. We prefer that people not arrive late\, in order to avoid disrupting the flow once the wheels get turning. \nThe members of the Electric Nomads include Dave Santospago\, Dave Curry\, Jason Karol and Bruno Giles. \nBring along a water bottle\, any kind of flow props that are appropriate for a group dance environment and a blanket or yoga mat to lie down for the final meditation at the end of the night. \nSuggested donation of $20+ per person (cash\, Paypal or Venmo).
