SUMMARY:Book Discussion: Decolonizing Wealth
DESCRIPTION:CSSC member and Outreach Coordinator for Family Promise Metrowest Paula Brown will facilitate a series of discussions related to Decolonizing Wealth by Edgar Villaneuva\, a renowned activist\, author\, and philanthropy expert who offers a crucial perspective on wealth and philanthropy. As a member of the Lumbee Tribe of North Carolina\, Villanueva advises a diverse range of organizations on social impact strategies\, working with philanthropic entities\, Fortune 500 corporations\, and entertainment enterprises. His work empowers communities\, giving them control over their own narratives and representations while striving for increased visibility across all sectors of society. SUMMARY:A Course in Miracles
DESCRIPTION:A Course in Miracles: each week we begin our exploration by reading the short introduction which includes these words “the course does not aim at teaching the meaning of love for that is beyond what can be taught. It does aim however at removing the blocks to the awareness of Love’s presence which is your natural inheritance.” \nHas any other subject been written or sung about more often than love? Isn’t it the organizing principle of all religions? So popular and prominent in our daily discourse\, yet so elusive. And don’t we yearn for an alternative to fear\, guilt and hatred\, suspicion and divisiveness?\n\nWhether a beginner\, a student of many years\, or an on-again/off again inquirer\, you are invited to join us in seeking to learn how to love and enjoy being in love. It’s not a solo performance.  Only together\, is love manifest.\n\nhttps://commonstreet.zoom.us/j/91709436048?pwd=eXpvM2dpYlhPNE1aNGE5cEFtOER4Zz09 \nMeeting ID: 917 0943 6048\nPasscode: 695321\nOne tap mobile\n+13017158592\,\,91709436048#\,\,\,\,*695321# US (Washington DC)\n+13126266799\,\,91709436048#\,\,\,\,*695321# US (Chicago)

SUMMARY:Skills for Bridging the Divide a Braver Angels Workshop
DESCRIPTION:In our current polarized political environment\, many people avoid or dread political conversations with friends or family members whose politics differ from their own. They worry\, rightly so\, that any attempts at political discussions will devolve into arguments and acrimony\, and result in hurt feelings or anger. \nBraver Angels Skills for Bridging the Divide Workshops teach skills for having respectful conversations that clarify differences\, search for common ground\, and affirm the importance of the relationship. They also give participants a safe environment to practice those skills. \nThis workshop is approximately 2 ½ hours long.
