SUMMARY:Chanting and Meditation Group
DESCRIPTION:This chanting and meditation group is designed to tap into our inner freedom. We will have two 15 minute sessions of chanting and two 30 minute sessions of meditation. Through the actions of chanting and meditation\, the aim is to free all the thoughts and emotions stuck within our minds and bodies. And over time\, the goal is to free ourselves from our unconscious programming we have built over our lifetimes and deepen our connection with Spirit.\n\n\nThe event is free and open to the community. SUMMARY:The Turning Practice of The Whirling Dervishes
DESCRIPTION:All are welcome. No experience necessary. From the tradition of the great love poet Rumi\, these classes provide instruction in the whirling practice which polishes the heart\, clears the mind\, and trains the body to participate in wordless prayer. \nThe format of the classes will usually include warm-up exercises\, then turning instruction\, Zikr\, and/or other aspects of Mevlevi Sufi tradition such as teachings from Rumi. \nFirst class by donation.
