SUMMARY:Chanting and Meditation Group
DESCRIPTION:This chanting and meditation group is designed to tap into our inner freedom. We will have two 15 minute sessions of chanting and two 30 minute sessions of meditation. Through the actions of chanting and meditation\, the aim is to free all the thoughts and emotions stuck within our minds and bodies. And over time\, the goal is to free ourselves from our unconscious programming we have built over our lifetimes and deepen our connection with Spirit.\n\n\nThe event is free and open to the community. DESCRIPTION:Join us for The Rite of the Womb\, a monthly women’s circle\, typically held every third Saturday at Common Street Spiritual Center in Natick. \n\nThis sacred gathering offers a space to connect\, heal\, and celebrate your feminine essence through empowering workshops and sacred sisterhood. The evening culminates in the Rite of the Womb\, a shamanic ceremony for releasing fear and ancestral pain to reclaim your inner power. Throughout the evening\, you’ll be embraced by a supportive women’s community\, fostering connections that uplift and inspire. \nAs the year winds down and the emotions stirred by holiday gatherings rise to the surface\, we’re offered a powerful moment to pause\, reflect\, and reset. This threshold between one year ending and a new one beginning is an ideal time to release what no longer serves and consciously invite in what you wish to cultivate. For this month’s Rite of the Womb\, we will be working with the elements through powerful water and fire ceremonies for cleansing and transformation. Through the soothing\, nourishing flow of water and the igniting\, transmutative energy of fire\, you’ll be guided to let go of the old while awakening clarity and intention for the year ahead. Honoring the complementary forces of the elements\, we create a sacred ceremonial space with ritual practices to dissolve the past\, open the heart\, and manifest new possibilities with purpose and renewal. \nSuggested items to bring if you feel called: \n\na waterbottle or personal beverage\na snack to share with the group\njournal and/or writing utensil\ndivination tools you work with\nList of what you would like to release and/or what you would like to manifest\nOfferings for the fire and water\nitems to be honored on the communal altar\ninstruments\, rattles or drums\nanything else that you feel can support you or the space\n\nContact Sherry at owls.rising@gmail.com or via text or WhatsApp at 617-980-6022 with any questions or concerns. \nAlthough preregistration is not required\, it is helpful for event preparations. DESCRIPTION:Intro to Qi Gong \nHow to cultivate balance in body and mind and improve your life energy (Qi) \nTime: Sundays from 8am – 9am\n \nQi Gong is a centuries-old system of coordinated body-posture and movement\, breathing\, and meditation used for the purposes of health\, spirituality\, and martial-arts training. These practices help cultivate concentration\, peace of mind\, strengthen and tone your body all at once. \nAll are welcome. No prior experience required. \nSuggested donation: $5-10 \nMeets in the Fellowship Hall downstairs.  Enter through the school street door and come downstairs to find us. \nAbout the Instructor: \nWei Li grew up in Mainland\, China. She earned her Ph.D. in Biology at Tufts University in 2005. Since 2010\, she has been studying Qi Gong and Tai Chi with Master Ming Wu and Master Shi Zhao. She finished her Fengyang Qi Gong Associate Instructor training in 2020 and has been teaching Qi Gong since at Wu Healing Center and Morse Institute Library.
