SUMMARY:Study and Integration
DESCRIPTION:Study and IntegrationBi-weekly Sundays at 1:00pmFacilitated by Ian Mevorach\, Director of the Common Street Spiritual Center \nYou’re warmly invited to join Study and Integration\, a bi-weekly spiritual gathering dedicated to deepening our relationship with both sacred texts and our own direct spiritual experiences. \nEvery other Sunday\, we will come together in a confidential and supportive circle to explore the scriptures and sacred writings of the world’s spiritual traditions—texts brought by participants and approached with reverence\, curiosity\, and contemplative openness. We’ll study not just with our minds\, but with our hearts and lives—listening for how the divine speaks through the words and symbols of many paths. \nOn alternating Sundays\, we’ll shift our focus to integration—sharing and grounding our own spiritual experiences in community. These may be moments of awakening\, struggle\, clarity\, or divine encounter. Together\, we will reflect on how these experiences shape our lives and how they resonate with the sacred texts we study. \nThis group is an opportunity to journey together over time\, learning from each other’s traditions\, insights\, and transformations. You’re encouraged to bring sacred texts that are meaningful to you and a willingness to engage in honest\, spirit-led reflection. \nAll are welcome—whether you’re rooted in a specific tradition or seeking across many. Come with your questions\, your wisdom\, and your wonder.

SUMMARY:Book Club: The Power of Now
DESCRIPTION:This group would be a good fit for people who follow or are interested in meditation and/or the spiritual teachings of Eckhart Tolle. We will read the book The Power of Now in our own time and come together as a group to share what stood out to us the most and reflect on how what we are learning applies to our own lives. Along with discussion\, we will engage in meditation practice and journaling. A copy of The Power of Now would be needed to fully participate\, but people are welcome to sit in on the discussion and participate in activities even if they don’t have the book. A journal/sketchbook would also be a supportive tool. We will meet every other week to allow time and space for reading\, reflection\, and processing on our own between meetings.
