DESCRIPTION:Music-lovers of all ages are invited to the 9th annual SINGtogether\, a free\, interactive\, intergenerational\, inspirational concert on Sunday\, June 8 at 4:00 p.m. at the Common Street Spiritual Center\, 13 Common Street\, Natick\, featuring Golden Tones chorus and Natick High School’s Concert Choir. This year’s concert theme is “American Eras Tour\,” featuring popular songs from different moments and voices in our country.\n\n\n\nIn this public collaboration between teen musicians\, and singers old enough to be their grandparents\, the two choirs again invite the public to experience the joyful sound that results when two generations of singers blend their voices together. To enhance the love of music and foster compassion between generations\, the singers of both groups have exchanged emails\, experienced a visit from the other choir’s conductor\, conversed in person\, and rehearsed together.\n\nThis concert is supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council\, the Lauren Dunne Astley Memorial Fund\, and Natick Public Schools.

DESCRIPTION:Mevlevi Sufi Zikr in the tradition of Rumi with Karim and Noor Kerima Payton\, Suleyman Loras and musicians friends. \nJoin us for a magical experience of Mevlevi Sufi dancing and singing in celebration of Divine Presence. For over forty years\, the Mevlevi Order of America has offered gatherings with music\, poetry and dervish whirling and chanting. We will lead a Zikr practice in the tradition of Rumi. \nThe Mevlevi tradition hearkens back to Sufi master Rumi (1207-1273)\, who has become the best-selling poet in America. Rumi’s poetry is filled with a longing for God the Friend and the Beloved. His realization expressed the Source of all religions and spiritual paths\, the Way of Love\, that unites those of many cultures and traditions. \n‘Zikhr’\, a Sufi chanting practice\, means ‘Remembrance of God’. It awakens us from the state of forgetfulness\, forgetting why one has come to Earth. It is a channel opener which helps with attaining true knowledge. \nThe Musicians will share devotional music played on traditional instruments. DESCRIPTION:Experience Jesus’ message of love holistically in an inclusive spiritual setting\, without any dogma or sectarianism blocking the way.\n\nFri\, August 1st\, Doors at 630pm to give people time to have tea and settle in. The reading begins at 7pm with a brief opening ceremony of prayer\, intentions\, and song.\n\nThe heart of this event is a spirited reading of the entire Gospel of Luke facilitated by Rev. Dr. Ian Mevorach\, director of the Common Street Spiritual Center; he has been a student of Jesus and other great prophets and spiritual teachers for over 20 years.\n\nThe.reading of the Gospel will be offered without explanation or interpretation\, in trust that it speaks for itself.\n\nAfter the reading\, we’ll have a time for integration\, sharing\, and a closing prayer.\n\nThe goal of this Sacred Gospel Reading is  is not to convert participants to any form or sect of Christianity\, but rather to create an inclusive and dynamic space where people of diverse belief systems and philosophical perspectives can share in an authentic experience of the teachings and story of Jesus\, which sends a message of love that transcends religious categories and forms.\n\nPeople of all beliefs\, spiritual paths\, and religious identities\, and those who do not identify as religious and/or spiritual\, are all equally welcome to participate\, and people of all ages are also welcome.
