SUMMARY:Show & Share
DESCRIPTION:Held in a community circle format\, this event is free of charge (donations accepted) and will provide space for folks to gather face-to-face. It will be a place where people can connect in a vibe of safety\, spiritual communion\, openness\, honesty\, and non-judgement to share whatever they wish. My hope is for this to be something of a compassionate and open-hearted ‘show and tell’ for adults\, a place where the inner child can have space to play freely\, experience emotional release\, and heal through the joy of supportive human connection! \nIf you want to share feelings: fears\, joys\, and get into deep places that are often difficult in surface-level conversations\, you are welcome. If you choose to share stories\, poems\, songs\, life experiences\, you are welcome. Want to share creative emotional expression\, dance\, photo albums\, or something else that is important to you? YOU ARE WELCOME!\n—————\n-At the open and close of each meeting I will facilitate a short sound healing and guided meditation. Also\, if a few people bring instruments\, we could do a peaceful jam session at the end of the event… I’m always up for those!\n-While I don’t wish to make any topics explicitly off limits\, we will practice compassionate and respectful communication. There will be a ‘talking stick’ of some sort\, so the only ground rules will be: don’t interrupt while someone is sharing\, don’t respond directly to a share without asking permission first\, and please do not use derogatory/demeaning language or point aggressive communication/anger at anyone.\n-There is no commitment required. Come to one circle or come on a regular basis. This is not a closed or ‘regular members only’ event. \n-I will bring a limited amount of snacks. Anyone who wants to bring food and/or non-alcoholic beverages to share\, you welcome to do so.\n-This group will meet in the Meditation Room on the 3rd floor.\n—————\nI hope to build a supportive and connected community around this gathering\, which will be held on a bi-weekly basis (regular recurring time open to group discussion and potentially subject to change). If you have any questions\, please reach out to Jason at MetalionMusicOfficial@gmail.com or (508)254-0263. \n*Please note that the end time of the gathering will be organic and will flow with being in the moment on that day. 5:00pm is a loose target. Anyone who wants to come but needs to come after 3:00pm or leave before 5:00pm can feel free to do so knowing that it will be received with acceptance and grace.* \nPeace & Respect\,\nJason Karol

SUMMARY:Show & Share (Stories of Summer Edition)
DESCRIPTION:Held in a community circle format on the 3rd floor of the center\, this event is free of charge (donations accepted) and will provide space for folks to gather face-to-face. It will be a place where people can connect in a vibe of safety\, spiritual communion\, openness\, honesty\, and non-judgement to share. My hope is for this to be a compassionate and open-hearted ‘show and tell’ for adults\, a place where the inner child can have space to experience emotional release\, connect\, and heal through the joy of supportive human connection! \nFor this iteration\, I will be trying something that was suggested to me recently. This ‘Show & Share’ will start off with a theme. So\, the first round of sharing will be focused on the phrase “stories of summer.” Stories\, memories\, pictures\, poems\, songs… please bring something to share with the group that is from and/or reminds of past summer experience from you life. \nThen\, if there is time\, we will open the floor to a round of more freestyle sharing… fears\, joys\, and get into deep places that are often difficult in surface-level conversations\, stories\, poems\, songs\, life experiences\, creative emotional expression\, dance\, photo albums… all are fair game for the freestyle round!\n—————\n-At the open and close of each meeting I will facilitate a short sound healing and guided meditation. Also\, if a few people bring instruments\, we could do a peaceful jam session at the end of the event… I’m always up for those!\n-While I don’t wish to make any topics explicitly off limits\, we will practice compassionate and respectful communication. SUMMARY:Circling
DESCRIPTION:Join us to experience The Practice of Circling if you\n• Want to know yourself more deeply\n• Want to experience and get to know others\n• Want to free yourself of unconscious wirings that may not serve you anymore\n• Want to practice awareness\, mindfulness\, connection\, and love\n• And / or want to experience a state of Being. \nThe practice of circling involves participants sitting in a circle and engaging in a shared experience that fosters connection\, reflection\, and mindfulness. \nWe sit with quiet attention\, until someone chooses to share with the group what they are experiencing\, sensing\, observing\, or imagining. \nOver time\, as such sharing occurs\, a shift can happen so that you experience a different sense of Self\, or even an experience of Being (which some may call God).\nThis is in contrast to day-to-day life\, in which one often experiences lots of Doing! \nDoing is necessary; and taking time to experience Being may be helpful to all aspects of one’s life. \nDinner table conversations can be nice\, but they tend to be people’s personalities doing their personality thing; in the practice of circling\, the personality is put into the background\, and Being and Connecting come into the foreground. \n–Intended for experienced circlers as well as anyone new to the practice. \n–Paul Gerzon\, Facilitator\n$: no charge for first time\nYou must be there by 3:00 p.m.\, on time; you may leave early if you need to.

SUMMARY:Men's Wisdom Council
DESCRIPTION:What does it mean to be a “Man”? \nMost men find that there is no clear answer to that question. It’s never been easy being a man. We take on the roles that society assigns us\, without being given clear instructions. Role models that are offered up to us\, don’t speak to our deeper concerns\, or rarely reply from the depths that our spirit require. \nCouncils have long been used by many traditions and cultures as a way to come together and gain a greater understanding of the world. The Men’s Wisdom Council continues this sacred tradition of sharing and for deep listening. Our circle we will strive to create a safe\, supportive\, and non-judgmental space; where we can take turns telling our stories\, sharing our concerns\, and learning from each other\, as we explore how we\, as men\, walk through the stages of our lives. \nAll men are welcome to drop in and participate in our circle. Please contact Michael Corthell (michaelacorthell@gmail.com) for any questions that you may have.

SUMMARY:Annual Business Meeting of Common Street Spiritual Center
DESCRIPTION:Every year\, our community has an annual business meeting\, facilitated by our council (aka board) to which all members are invited. At this meeting\, members of the community have a chance to hear updates about how our center is doing and what our goals are going forward\, engage in discussion\, and also to vote on important topics like our budget and the election of new members of our council (aka board). \nThis year’s annual meeting is scheduled for Monday\, February 24th at 7pm\, and will be held virtually via zoom. Here’s the link: https://commonstreet.zoom.us/j/99306609037 \nAttendance at the meeting is highly encouraged\, because we are seeking to have a solid quorum of members present. If you are getting this email\, you are a member of the Spiritual Center community and we do ask that you attend the meeting if possible. \n*** \nOur community functions as a small democracy where each member has a voice and a vote\, and the most important decisions come before the community as a whole for discussion and a vote. The annual business meeting is open to the wider community\, like “friends” of the center who may be interested in learning more\, but only members are allowed to vote. \nIf you cannot be there on Feb 24th at 7pm\, our council  is working on a way to include more members in the process by sending out a recording of the meeting afterwards\, along with a survey that would at least informally give folks who missed the meeting a chance to vote or voice questions or comments for a two week window after the meeting. \n*** \nThis year\, we will be asking the community to vote on this proposed budget for 2025. [insert link] If you have questions about the budget\, please do ask them in advance by emailing the council at council@commonstreet.org. \nWe will also be sharing a report about our spending in the last calendar year with updates about what we accomplished\, how the community is growing and developing\, and forecasts of our plans for 2025\, including invitations for community members to get more engaged. \n*** \nCurrently\, our council is working to recruit new members to fill vacancies\, both for our council itself and for key teams that we are seeking to build around fundraising\, membership\, and volunteer engagement. Hopefully\, at the annual meeting\, we will be ready to present candidates for the council to the community for a vote. We will keep you updated as we learn more\, and let you know more about who the candidates may be in advance of the meeting. Also\, we want to invite members of the community to view this page to find out more about the openings on our council and to express interest if they feel called to serve in this way. https://commonstreet.org/growing-our-council/ \nSimilarly\, if you feel called to serve\, or if you simply want to learn more about the volunteer openings in the key areas of fundraising\, membership\, and/or volunteer engagement\, please visit this page to learn more and express interest: https://commonstreet.org/forming-core-volunteer-teams/ \nAs we move into 2025\, one of our goals is to strengthen the volunteer structure of the community\, which we believe will add to our overall resilience and our ability to accomplish the goals we envision. \n*** \nCurrent member of the Common Street Council: \nLaura Hake\, Samuel Gloyd\, Michael Corthell\, Damon Farnum\, Ian Mevorach \nThe council can be reached by email at council@commonstreet.org

SUMMARY:Rite of the Womb: Mother's Blessing
DESCRIPTION:Join us for The Rite of the Womb\, a monthly women’s circle held every third Saturday at Common Street Spiritual Center in Natick. \nThis sacred gathering offers a space to connect\, heal\, and celebrate your feminine essence through empowering workshops and community. The evening culminates in the Rite of the Womb\, a shamanic initiation for releasing fear and ancestral pain\, and reclaiming your inner power. Throughout the evening\, you’ll be embraced by a supportive women’s community and sisterhood\, fostering connections that uplift and inspire. \nThis month’s workshop explores how the feminine path to spirituality is rooted in the body\, offering daily invitations to surrender\, trust\, and deepen our intuition. When we think of spiritual practice\, we often picture structured rituals like meditation or retreats. But for women\, spiritual growth is also built into our biology—through menstrual cycles\, pregnancy\, birth\, motherhood\, and menopause. Instead of forcing ourselves into linear routines\, we’ll reclaim the wisdom of our natural rhythms and reconnect with the power already within us. \nA unique and exciting celebration that will be taking place this month will be a Mother’s Blessing Ceremony for a sister in our community. A Mother’s Blessing is a sacred rite of passage that honors the emotional\, spiritual\, and physical journey into motherhood. Rooted in ancient feminine traditions\, it shifts the focus from baby to mother—celebrating her body\, intuition\, and inner strength. Surrounded by a circle of women\, she is supported through ritual\, storytelling\, and shared wisdom\, inviting deep surrender and connection to the cyclical power of creation. This ceremony is a return to embodied spirituality\, where motherhood is honored as a sacred threshold. \nWhat to bring to the Mother’s Blessing: \n\n\nAn offering for the mother to be can be energetic or material\, some examples: \n\n\nFlowers \n\n\nPersonal elements like a song\, prayer or scripture \n\n\nMeaningful keepsakes for her to put on her altar in her birthing space \n\n\nJewelry/crystals \n\n\nMassage/foot soak \n\n\nSimply yourself \n\n\n\n\nA snack to share with the group \n\n\nA personal water bottle \n\n\nAny items you would like honored on the collective altar \n\n\nDivination tools you work with \n\n\nContact Sherry at owls.rising@gmail.com or 617-980-6022 with any questions or concerns. \nSuggested donation to support the space and group is $33\, although no one will be turned away for financial hardship \nPreregistration highly recommended: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/mothers-blessing-ceremony-at-rite-of-the-womb-tickets-1763473519769?utm-campaign=social&utm-content=attendeeshare&utm-medium=discovery&utm-term=listing&utm-source=cp&aff=ebdsshcopyurl

This threshold between one year ending and a new one beginning is an ideal time to release what no longer serves and consciously invite in what you wish to cultivate. Through the soothing\, nourishing flow of water and the igniting\, transmutative energy of fire\, you’ll be guided to let go of the old while awakening clarity and intention for the year ahead. Honoring the complementary forces of the elements\, we create a sacred ceremonial space with ritual practices to dissolve the past\, open the heart\, and manifest new possibilities with purpose and renewal. \nSuggested items to bring if you feel called: \n\na waterbottle or personal beverage\na snack to share with the group\njournal and/or writing utensil\ndivination tools you work with\nList of what you would like to release and/or what you would like to manifest\nOfferings for the fire and water\nitems to be honored on the communal altar\ninstruments\, rattles or drums\nanything else that you feel can support you or the space\n\nContact Sherry at owls.rising@gmail.com or via text or WhatsApp at 617-980-6022 with any questions or concerns. \nAlthough preregistration is not required\, it is helpful for event preparations. SUMMARY:Rite of the Womb
DESCRIPTION:Join us for The Rite of the Womb\, a monthly women’s circle\, typically held every third Saturday at Common Street Spiritual Center in Natick. \nThis sacred gathering offers a welcoming space to connect\, heal\, and honor the feminine through shared practice\, reflection\, and sacred sisterhood. \nIn February\, the gathering will be guided by Pooja Mahtani\, founder of Akasha Codes\, who holds grounded\, compassionate healing spaces rooted in presence\, energetic awareness\, and deep listening. Through gentle guidance\, intentional space-holding\, and womb-focused energetic work\, participants will be invited to soften the nervous system\, reconnect with the womb as a center of memory and creation\, and tend to layers of identity shaped by lineage\, experience\, and lived history. \nThis work supports the remembrance of the womb not only as a physical space\, but as an energetic center of intuition\, creativity\, belonging\, and self-trust. The healing invites the release of inherited patterns\, emotional imprints\, and internalized narratives that may no longer serve—making space for clarity\, sovereignty\, and embodied presence. \nThe evening culminates in The Rite of the Womb\, a shamanic ceremony focused on releasing fear and ancestral pain\, allowing participants to reclaim inner power and wholeness. Throughout the evening\, you’ll be held within a supportive women’s community that fosters connection\, safety\, and inspiration. \nIf you feel called\, a few items you may want to bring: \n\nA snack to share with the group\nA personal water bottle\nAny items you would like honored on the collective altar\nDivination tools you work with (examples: crystals\, cards\, smokes\, etc)\nMusical instruments such as drums or rattles\nAnything else that you feel will support the space!\n\nQuestions or concerns:Please contact Sherry at owls.rising@gmail.com or via text or WhatsApp at 617-980-6022. \nEnergy Exchange:Although preregistration is not required\, it is helpful for event preparations. SUMMARY:Rite of the Womb
DESCRIPTION:Join us for The Rite of the Womb\, a monthly women’s circle\, typically held every third Saturday at Common Street Spiritual Center in Natick. \n\nThis sacred gathering offers a space to connect\, heal\, and celebrate your feminine essence through empowering workshops and sacred sisterhood. The evening culminates in the Rite of the Womb\, a shamanic ceremony for releasing fear and ancestral pain to reclaim your inner power. Throughout the evening\, you’ll be embraced by a supportive women’s community\, fostering connections that uplift and inspire.  \nThis month our women’s circle falls during the Spring Equinox\, the sacred turning point when day and night come into balance—and when the goddess Persephone returns to earth after her six-month reign as Queen of the Underworld\, bringing with her the energies of renewal\, fertility\, abundance\, and the awakening of spring. It feels deeply fitting to honor and embody the archetype of Persephone: the initiate who descends into darkness and returns transformed. Together we will honor the painful experiences that have carried us through our own underworlds\, recognizing that certain thresholds in life change us forever\, yet do not erase who we are. Like Persephone\, we learn to live between worlds- light and shadow\, maiden and queen\, loss and renewal- awakening the goddess energy within us that holds both tenderness and power. Through reflection\, ritual\, and shared sisterhood\, we reclaim the wisdom born from hardship and transform it into personal sovereignty. And as the Spring Equinox marks Persephone’s radiant return to the living world\, we will celebrate with lightness\, dance\, laughter\, flowers\, and abundance—joyfully welcoming the season of growth\, blooming life\, and new possibilities. Together we honor that we\, too\, have emerged from the underworld carrying both our depth and our radiance. \nIf you feel called\, a few items you may want to bring: \n\nA snack to share with the group\nA personal water bottle\nAny items you would like honored on the collective altar\nDivination tools you work with (examples: crystals\, cards\, smokes\, etc)\nMusical instruments such as drums or rattles\nAnything else that you feel will support the space!\n\nContact Sherry at owls.rising@gmail.com or via text or WhatsApp at 617-980-6022 with any questions or concerns. \nAlthough preregistration is not required\, it is helpful for event preparations. Suggested donation to support the center\, workshop supplies and the group is $22 to $44\, although no one will be turned away for financial hardship.   \nPreregister using the following form link: https://forms.gle/SiZUYrMemju433yK8
