SUMMARY:Bollywood Dance for Kids
DESCRIPTION:Kids between the age of 4-8 learn and perform Bollywood dance.\nGift your kid a piece of a fun culture. See your kids shine with all the confidence when they perform\, your eyes will tear up and your heart will fill with pride. Dancing (especially Bollywood) and performing is one of the best ways to build confident personality and presence\, saying this based on my personal experience. Let them start early so they don’t have those could’ve should’ve moments\, and they learn to venture into the world with 100% of their ability. And did I mention the health and happiness benefits?\nYup! All this just by dancing on some of the awesomest Bollywood music for 10 Saturdays. \nRegister here: https://www.bollywoodstepbystep.com/booking-calendar/kids-learn-perform-bollywood?referral=service_list_widget

SUMMARY:Natick Music Makers
DESCRIPTION:What:  Natick Music Makers \nWhen:  First Fridays\, 7-9pm \nWhere:  Common Street Spiritual Center\, Upstairs \nHow much: Cost; 100% of your $10 entry fee goes to the center to support its mission* \nWho:  You & Us!! ? \nHello! We want to play music with YOU! \nIf you have a basic musical ability (play an instrument\, know your chords)\, We welcome you to bring your instrument; guitar\, bass\, drums\, keyboard\, ukelele\, voice\, and more – for a night of playing songs together. We’ll finish out the night with a jam. \nPoint of the event is to have fun and make music together. There is little expectation beyond that. \nFormat of the event:  we’ll play relatively easy songs which are 3-5 chords. We’ll have a list to choose from for this event\, and we’ll cast them on a screen / or have on poster-boards\, so everyone can see the chords and lyrics. We’ll draw numbers from a hat @ 7pm and that will be the order of those wanting to lead a song. If you just want to play\, then just play! \nGenres include but not limited to Rock\, Pop\, Folk\, Blues. Typically\, we’ll be mostly in 4/4 time to keep things simple. I’ll start off the 1st song to get us warmed up\, then we’ll take turns leading a song (optional if you desire to). \nNote: we’ll play mostly “clean” in terms of sound\, but some basic pedals / effects are permitted such as Wah\, Compressor\, Reverb\, Delay\, etc. Ear plugs will be available. \nAlso Note:  respectfulness of everyone’s ability level is expected\, kindness is appreciated. This is for fun\, and there is no expectation that the songs will sound like the original nor do we really desire for it to. \nKeep your alcohol and drugs and pets at home. \nWe’ll take a break about halfway through to socialize and munch on snacks. \nIf you have any questions\, you can reach me by email: MrDaveStewart@gmail.com \nHope to see you there! \n\nNatick Music Makers \n\n  \n*Free if you’re a member of Common St. Spiritual Center.  See this link if interested: https://commonstreet.org/membership/

SUMMARY:Dub Yoga
DESCRIPTION:A vinyasa flow yoga class set to live roots and dub Reggae\n\nYes\, Yoga and Reggae fusion!\n\nFREE & open to the community \n\nw/ Dr. Jen Kurz and DJ Jah Rich\, live!!\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCurious about the meaning of “Dub”?\n\n\n\nWhat is Dub music? Dub is one of the many sub genres of Reggae music. Dub is instrumental Reggae that is artistically enhanced and layered with effects like echo and reverb as well as production techniques like splicing in snipits of vocals or sporadically dropping out all the instruments except for the powerful\, stripped down drum and bass.\n\n\n\nDub gives the recording engineer the opportunity to become the musician as their multi-track mixing console acts as the instrument. An engineer making Dub is like a chef creating a unique meal not often seen on most menus!\n\n\n\nJamaican producer and engineer King Tubby is commonly known as the creator of Dub\, as he first experimented with ways to manipulate and “dub out” his instrumental tracks in the early 1970s. Today\, his innovation and influence is widely seen in genres like techno\, drum and bass\, and electronic music overall. Dub stands as another example of the rich contributions of Jamaican music.\n\n\nJah Rich 7/19/23

SUMMARY:Intro to Ayurveda - IN PERSON
DESCRIPTION:Known as Yoga’s “sister science\,” Ayurveda is the world’s oldest system of health and healing. This time-tested\, nature-based wisdom empowers us with principles and practices to maximize our existing health and prevent the onset of future “dis-ease.” Ayurveda uses nature’s basic elements (space\, air\, fire\, water and earth) as a foundational framework to understand everything we see in the material world including the design of our unique body/mind constitution.\n\nBy observing ourselves through the lens of elemental qualities\, we learn how the seasons\, weather\, physical environments\, emotions\, food\, relationships\, and all life activities have an impact on our constitution – how they support balance or lead to imbalance within our own unique organism. This deeper self-awareness can lead us to better life choices and combined with Ayurvedic practices\, improve our overall physical\, emotional\, and spiritual wellbeing.\n\nJoin this workshop to learn…\n• Origins of Ayurveda & the practice of Ayurveda today in the US\n• Key concepts in Ayurveda and its unique view of health\n• Potential benefits of practicing Ayurveda\n• Your unique constitution through a take home assessment (Vata\, Pitta\, Kapha doshsa)\n\nTo register\, email rebecca@illuminate-discover.com indicating you intended date of attendance.
