SUMMARY:Men's Wisdom Council
DESCRIPTION:What does it mean to be a “Man”? \nMost men find that there is no clear answer to that question. It’s never been easy being a man. We take on the roles that society assigns us\, without being given clear instructions. Role models that are offered up to us don’t speak to our deeper concerns\, or rarely reply from the depths that our spirits require. \nCouncils have long been used by many traditions and cultures as a way to come together and gain a greater understanding of the world. The Men’s Wisdom Council continues this sacred tradition of sharing and deep listening. \nOur circle we will strive to create a safe\, supportive\, and non-judgmental space where we can take turns telling our stories\, sharing our concerns\, and learning from each other—as we explore how we\, as men\, walk through the stages of our lives.\nPlease contact Michael Corthell (michaelacorthell@gmail.com) for any questions that you may have. \nMeets upstairs in the studio space. Enter through school street door.

SUMMARY:Natick Music Makers
DESCRIPTION:What:  Natick Music Makers \nWhen:  First Fridays\, 7-9pm \nWhere:  Common Street Spiritual Center\, Upstairs \nHow much: Cost; 100% of your $10 entry fee goes to the center to support its mission* \nWho:  You & Us!! ? \nHello! We want to play music with YOU! \nIf you have a basic musical ability (play an instrument\, know your chords)\, We welcome you to bring your instrument; guitar\, bass\, drums\, keyboard\, ukelele\, voice\, and more – for a night of playing songs together. We’ll finish out the night with a jam. \nPoint of the event is to have fun and make music together. There is little expectation beyond that. \nFormat of the event:  we’ll play relatively easy songs which are 3-5 chords. We’ll have a list to choose from for this event\, and we’ll cast them on a screen / or have on poster-boards\, so everyone can see the chords and lyrics. We’ll draw numbers from a hat @ 7pm and that will be the order of those wanting to lead a song. If you just want to play\, then just play! \nGenres include but not limited to Rock\, Pop\, Folk\, Blues. Typically\, we’ll be mostly in 4/4 time to keep things simple. I’ll start off the 1st song to get us warmed up\, then we’ll take turns leading a song (optional if you desire to). \nNote: we’ll play mostly “clean” in terms of sound\, but some basic pedals / effects are permitted such as Wah\, Compressor\, Reverb\, Delay\, etc. Ear plugs will be available. \nAlso Note:  respectfulness of everyone’s ability level is expected\, kindness is appreciated. This is for fun\, and there is no expectation that the songs will sound like the original nor do we really desire for it to. \nKeep your alcohol and drugs and pets at home. \nWe’ll take a break about halfway through to socialize and munch on snacks. \nIf you have any questions\, you can reach me by email: MrDaveStewart@gmail.com \nHope to see you there! \n\nNatick Music Makers \n\n  \n*Free if you’re a member of Common St. Spiritual Center.  See this link if interested: https://commonstreet.org/membership/

SUMMARY:Introduction to Shamanic Journeying: Connect with Your Power Animal
DESCRIPTION:Introduction to Shamanic Journeying:\nConnect with Your Power Animal \n“Shamanic journeying is the inner art of traveling to the invisible worlds beyond ordinary reality in order to retrieve information for change in any area of our lives\, from spirituality and health to work and relationships” (Sandra Ingerman\, 2007). \nPower animals are an elemental component of shamanism and all shamans work with power animals to help bring about spiritual\, physical and emotional healing at the soul or spirit level. One or more power animals may help us throughout our lives. All of us have access to our power animals and our power animals want to work with us! \nIn this workshop\, you will be guided to independently travel to the shamanic lower world through a meditative journeying state and meet your power animal. We will also discover the various ways to work with power animals in daily life and to assist in understanding specific intentions or gifts they have to offer. \nIt is recommended you bring any items that will help you descend into this state of consciousness. Such materials can include an eye covering\, pillow\, blanket\, mat\, and wearing comfortable clothing. Cushions\, yoga mats\, and blankets will be available. \nIn your shamanic journey space\, you may gain information from the lower world spirits and your power animal. Bringing a journal can be valuable to record the messages received for further integration and referencing. \nNo prior shamanic or journeying experience necessary. All levels of shamanic practice are welcome! Email Sherry @ sherrysolchnp@gmail.com with questions. \nSpace limited to 12 participants\, preregistration required by following this link: https://forms.gle/bjvX7HqCAhXo2TK38 \nExchange $30
