DESCRIPTION:? UNIQUE EVENT ? Strictly Yard Ent. presents DUB YOGA Thursday\, July 18th I August15th I Sep 19th from 7-8 pm at the Common Street Spiritual Center in Natick\, MA. \n? This will be a special evening of Yoga\, Dub & Reggae\, and community featuring Yoga from Dr. Jen Kurz in tandem with live DJing from Selector Jah Rich! \n❤️ All levels of Yoga are welcome to this vinyasa flow\, there is plenty of parking\, and the cost is $10 or food pantry donations. All are welcome! \n?️ The beautiful Common Street Spiritual Center is the place to be\, and this venue continues to host and promote top tier spiritual entrepreneurship and community events in the MetroWest. \n? This is the second summer of DUB YOGA and last year’s sessions were well attended and received! \n? WHAT IS DUB\, might you ask?\nDub is one of the many sub genres of Reggae music. Dub is instrumental Reggae that is artistically enhanced and layered with effects like echo and reverb as well as production techniques like splicing in snipits of vocals or sporadically dropping out all the instruments except for the powerful\, stripped down drum and bass. Dub gives the recording engineer the opportunity to become the musician as their multi-track mixing console acts as the instrument. An engineer making Dub is like a chef creating a unique meal not often seen on most menus! Jamaican producer and engineer King Tubby is credited as the inventor of Dub\, as he first experimented with ways to manipulate and “dub out” his instrumental tracks in the early 1970s. Today\, his innovation and influence is widely heard in genres like techno\, drum and bass\, and dubstep. Dub stands as another example of the rich contributions of Jamaican music. Jah Rich 7/19/23 \nSuggested donation $10 or food pantry donations of non-perishable items. \nAll welcome!

DESCRIPTION:This past year has seen so much violence\, hatred\, and division. Since the horrific attack on Oct 7th\, in which many innocent Israelis were murdered\, Gaza has been decimated and countless Palestinian lives have been lost. Children are starving and being murdered. Many Israelis and Palestinians are still in captivity. All people deserve to be free. Genocide is being perpetrated in many places around the world\, in Sudan and in Congo. Our government continues to deny its responsibility for the suffering in our global human family. \nBring your hearts and the pain\, grief\, medicine of your authenticity to be held in safety. We are coming together to touch this great suffering\, to grieve together\, and to find hope and purpose through the cultivation of compassion\, wisdom\, and love. \nPeople of all beliefs\, backgrounds\, and spiritual paths are welcome. We will build a common altar and create a non-judgmental and loving container where healing can take place. All will be welcome to share poems\, songs\, and prayers\, and to speak their truths in a sacred circle. All voices are needed in this movement for liberation of all people. \nWe are a diverse community\, and we need to listen and learn from each other\, and to find enough unity to work together for peace and justice.
