SUMMARY:Buddhist Meditation Group (Tibetan Vajrayana)
DESCRIPTION:Buddhist practice is not about retreating from our lives or rejecting the things that bring us meaning and joy. Rather\, it is about cultivating our natural capacity for unconditional well-being; a well-being that is not dependent on external circumstances. \nThis unconditional well-being is not withdrawn\, neutral\, or indifferent. It is brimming with warmth and care for all beings. It is the source of universal love and compassion\, what Buddhists call bodhicitta. It is not something we attain or manufacture; it is what we fundamentally are. The practices of this tradition help us identify and remove our internal impediments so that our innate enlightened nature can begin to outshine our habitual ways of thinking and relating to ourselves and others. \nThese weekly gatherings include meditation practice and discussion grounded in the teachings of contemporary meditation masters within the Tibetan Vajrayana tradition. Our emphasis is on integrating meditation into daily life and embodying loving-kindness and compassion in action. Each session includes guided and silent meditation\, along with time for reflection and conversation. \nFacilitated by Ben Draper\, a longtime dharma practitioner and student of Dzigar Kongtrul Rinpoche. \nOpen to both beginners and experienced practitioners.

SUMMARY:Sensing Tango — A Beginner's Course
DESCRIPTION:Argentine tango is one of the most intimate social dances in the world — and one of the most misunderstood. Most people learn it as a set of steps. This course teaches it as a conversation. \nOver six classes\, we’ll build the foundational skills of tango from the inside out: how to stand\, embrace\, and move with a partner — not through drilling technique\, but through guided exercises in body awareness\, breath\, and attentive listening. You’ll learn to feel what your partner is communicating\, and to express yourself clearly and kindly in return. \nYou’ll leave with enough grounding to enjoy a social tango event — and a set of inner tools that will deepen every dance you take on from here. \nNo experience necessary. No partner required. \nTime: Thursdays\, Apr 2 – May 7\, 7.15pm (6 classes) \nLocation: Common Street Spiritual Center\, Moon Room.  13 Common St Natick\, MA  01760 \n$20 per class · $100 for the series · NOTAFLOF · Drop-ins welcome\, and like tango itself\, the material rewards revisiting. \nTo pre-register: https://forms.gle/tCTr9DUdPLHgDc666 \n  \nAbout the instructor \nAnatoliy Kats began his tango journey in 2017 and hasn’t stopped since. He studies in Buenos Aires at Studio Dinzel\, which pioneered the teaching of tango as a practice of wellness and self-development more than 20 years ago. He holds a degree in clinical mental health counseling from Lesley University\, and his work as a therapist informs how he teaches the dance. He is supervised by Dmitry Antonyuk of St. Petersburg\, Russia — a Studio Dinzel alumnus with 14 years of tango teaching experience.
