SUMMARY:Traditional Rattle Making Ceremony
DESCRIPTION:Rattles are the sound of the North in the medicine wheel. Their sound assimilate the rain therefore a good cleanser of dense energies stuck in body\, mind or spaces. They are also used for traveling into other realms\, journeying to the North where our ancestors\, teachers and guides live. \nIn this workshop you will craft a traditional corn filled Elk-rattle for ceremonial and healing use. \nOnce sacred space has been opened and everyone has voiced their presence in the circle we will receive the materials for bringing these tools through. The first step is to make the holes and sew them together. We will be filling them with sand to take the desired shape and let them dry while having lunch and embarking on a journey with Nelya Binder. She will will be offering a Conscious Yoga class to connect with Mother Earth and the elements inspired by rattle making. DESCRIPTION:Authentic Movement is a moving meditation\, inspired by Carl Jung’s practice of Active Imagination. Central to this form is the presence of the other\, the witness. This non-judgmental\, compassionate presence creates a safe holding environment for the mover to explore and embody parts\, inviting an embodied connection to Self. Each participant will have the opportunity to discover the Self energy inherent in being both Mover and Witness — to see and be seen\, to be deeply present to Self\, to each other\, and to the universe. \nLight refreshments provided.
