Stone Walk and Peace Ceremony

The Peace Abbey, together with Common Street Spiritual Center, Bethany House Ministries of Millis, and Music with Love cordially invites you to the dedication ceremony of the Immigrant Deportation Memorial Plaque and Stone. Please join us as we come together to honor and remember those who have been deported. Please note this event is at the Peace Abbey Memorial in Sherborn at 2 North Main Street.
The ceremony will begin at 3:00 PM, following a 6-mile Stonewalk that starts at 12:00 PM (noon) at the Hope Chest in Millis. This walk is held in loving memory of Nghia Van Vy, who was deported to Vietnam, a country he fled following the US war in his homeland. After making a life in the United States, our country turned its back on him and deported him back to Saigon, where he tragically took his own life. We walk to honor his memory and ensure he is not forgotten.
